The first tower of the Faubourg de l’Arche built in the late 1990s, the Cèdre Tower, has been transformed. It will be replaced by the Emblem tower in 2021. Following the departure of EDF in 2019, the tower will be restructured to make it more environmentally friendly and respond to new user expectations. Today, employees at Emblem enjoy a rooftop terrace on the 26th floor, renovated spaces, a double-height reception hall, and parking for electric cars and bicycles.
Its contemporary appearance maintains the codes of its first version, revealing its tinted windows and playing with two materials: glass and stone. The panels of the old façade were reused and removed by a European Union reuse network. The new ones are made of high-performance fiber-reinforced concrete, which refines the silhouette of the tower and makes the façade more durable.
